Are you able to transform complex business processes into simple interaction models that inspire users? If people use the words ‘imaginative’, ’analytical’ and ‘empathetic’ to describe you, this could be the role for you.

What you will be doing

  • Working closely with an interdisciplinary team of clients, users, designers and data scientists
  • Managing the design process, while helping to define the larger strategy
  • Developing user interaction concepts for complex digital business models and products
  • Ensuring technical feasibility of concepts in close collaboration with the development team
  • Leading co-creation workshops with clients and/or end-users
  • Documenting UX concepts (be it scribbles, paper mockups, flow charts, wireframe prototypes or UI design mockups)
  • Presenting polished concepts internally and externally to clients (potentially up to C-level management)
  • Planning and conducting UX research
  • Analysing and evaluating different types of data from which you are able to identify patterns and insights
  • Contributing to the continuous improvement of Sclable’s user-centered design process

What you should have

Essential:

  • 5+ years of experience as a Designer within a UX environment
  • Track record of working from discovery stage to the finished product
  • Ability to understand complex client needs and translate their business goals into valuable digital experiences
  • Deep understanding of user-centered design processes, key UX design principles and design patterns
  • Basic understanding of the potential, and limitations of AI/ML technology
  • Demonstrated use of methods such as persona creation, user-journey mapping and task-flow analysis
  • User centric mindset - every user, both internal and external, is placed at the heart of the solution
  • Great eye for detail and confidence in your own design expertise
  • Genuine desire to help clients solve their business problems with digital innovation
  • Self-starter personality with a collaborative working style
  • Strong work ethic and high level of professionalism
  • Excellent communication skills. Fluency in both German and English (verbal and written)

Advantageous:

  • Solid understanding of responsive design, cross-browser/cross-platform design challenges and proficiency with front-end UI technologies, e.g. HTML, CSS, JavaScript, etc
  • Specific experience with designing for complex systems, e.g. browser-based or desktop software
  • Design experience within digital B2B environements

What we offer

  • Flat hierarchy: open communication, empowerment and shared responsibility
  • Ideal environment for independent but collaborative personalities who want to achieve creative results without the limitations common in big agencies or corporates
  • Flexible hours and/or option of a hybrid working agreement
  • Interesting and diverse challenges with developmental opportunities
  • Work within an agile team of experts who enjoy sharing ideas and knowledge
  • The gross monthly salary starts at 3.300,- EUR (according to the collective agreement on data processing and information technology) and, depending on qualification and experience, usually ranges around 3.900,- EUR. In case of special qualifications, we are also willing to negotiate beyond that
